Midwestern School of Evangelism (MSE)

MSE was founded in the fall of 1947 in Ottumwa, Iowa, by three men: Donald Hunt, Burton Barber, and James McMorrow. All three original founders have gone home to be with the Lord.

In 2007 MSE discontinued campus classes and partnered with Life Education and Restoration Network (LEARN). LEARN brings together Bible scholars, teachers, students, and committed servants into a virtual cyber college. We are currently developing world-wide access to web based, Biblically-accurate material and classes. Classes will be developed and taught by teachers and preachers who love and honor God’s Word and have a passion to teach others. LEARN's desire is for believers to be equipped to build up the Body of Christ and take the good news of Jesus Christ to the world.

LEARN’s methods are to go through the open door of opportunity offered by the Internet and reach out towards hundreds of millions of available computers to present college level instruction world-wide by two separate methods: a) Distance Learning ( DL ), and b) self-directed study of specific topics apart from courses and a curriculum.

Voice of Evangelism

In 1946 the "Voice of Evangelism" began as an 8-page weekly paper promoting evangelism, Biblical doctrine, and sprituality. It was founded by Donald G. Hunt, Burton W. Barber, and James R. McMorrow. From the outset it attained a national circulation. Years later it became a 20-page monthly magazine and in more recent years has been edited and managed by Jerry Weller, Dan Smith, and Becky Dalrymple.

Early in its history it began issuing books, booklets, charts and tracts which through the years have met with wide acceptance among preachers, congregations, and individuals because of their sermonic material, class study, and individual use.

To this day the goal continues to be to produce outstanding material, well printed, and economically priced. You are invited to peruse the resources available to you described in the catalog. We are also pleased to offer this wealth of material for sale on-line.
